The Stussy x Converse Chuck 70 High 8 Ball Navy is what you get when a skater label and streetwear brand come together for a collaboration.
Stussy is moving away from the hemp fabric that outfitted many of their prior collaborations. In its place, Suede builds out both the One Star and Chuck 70, which proffer a bright green and dark navy colorway, respectively.
This iteration of the Chuck 70 Hi is produced with shaggy suede base layers in navy.
It also prominently features Stussy’s recognisable 8-ball logo embroidered at the shoe’s lateral side.
Meanwhile,Black trim is present via the laces, interior liners and midsole stripes for extra contrast. More Stussy branding comes in the footbed and the lightweight tongue’s inner portion.
Underfoot, the Converse Chuck 70 High’s classic white sole unit with clean black lines is retained for a traditional touch.
What is the difference between Chuck Taylors and Chuck 70s?
The Chuck 70 features more stitching and a sturdier construction compared to the original Chuck Taylor All Star. The Chuck Taylor All Star is looser and feels flimsier compared to the Chuck 70.
Should you buy a size down in Converse?
The Converse website recommends customers size down in their All Star and Chuck 70 silhouettes however we would still recommend staying true to size. Unless you have narrow feet, we don’t recommend sizing down in Converse.
