The 2020 edition of the Nike Air More Uptempo ‘Olympic’ brings back the shoe that Scottie Pippen wore during the ’96 Summer Olympics. The build is mostly true to the original, highlighted by white leather ‘AIR’ lettering on a navy nubuck upper. The same color blocking is applied to the midsole, fitted with Air sole units for lightweight cushioning. Scottie Pippen’s Olympic jersey number is outlined in metallic gold on the heel tab, positioned directly above a navy jewel Swoosh.

The shoe comes dressed in a patriotic mix of Red, White and Blue which will look like the original release that took place back in 1996 and retro 2012. It features a full Midnight Navy upper with the word ‘AIR’ across the sides. White and Gold are seen on the number 8 located on the heel of each shoe, which was a nod to Pippen’s Olympic number. Hints of red are seen on the swoosh logo on the tongue and bottom of each shoe as well. Even though this is not a signature shoe for Pippen, his name and the silhouette have been synonymous for the 20 year history of the shoe.
